Sides Express by Breakdown Services is the premiere sides distribution site for Talent Representatives!



Accessing Sides Express


1) Click Here to visit Sides Express and access sides.



This site can also be accessed on Breakdown Express by going to the “services” tab and clicking the “sides” link.




2) Once you're at sidesexpress.com, choose one of the 3 options:


  • “Quick Search” - Selecting this option will allow you to search for your role by Project Title, Casting Director, or Role Name.


  • “Sides Code” - Select this option if you have been provided a security code by a Casting Director.


  • “Region Search” - Selecting this option will allow you to find sides by choosing the appropriate region and project category.




Finding Sides via Quick Search


1) Click on the box marked “Quick Search”, enter a project title, role name or Casting Director in the search field below, then click “Search.”



2) If a large number of results come up in your search, you can order the results by clicking the “Sort by” button and selecting one of the options.



3) Once you have found the correct sides, click on the role you wish to access. You will then be prompted to sign into your account.




Finding Sides via Sides Code


1) If the Casting Office provided you with a security code, click on the box marked “Sides Code,” enter the code in the field below, then click “Search.”


Projects with security codes can only be found using the “Sides Code” option, no results will appear using the “Quick Search” or “Region Search” options.



2) Once you have found the correct sides, click on the role you wish to access. You will then be prompted to sign into your account.




Finding Sides via Region Search


1) If you would like to use region search, click on the box marked “Region Search,” select both a region and category in the drop-down menus below, then click the green “Search” button.




2) If a large number of results come up in your search, you can order the results by clicking the “Sort by” button and selecting one of the options.




3) Click on the title of the project that you would like to download sides from. You will then be prompted to sign into your account.




Downloading Sides


1) After selecting your role or project, you will be prompted to login with your Breakdown Express account. Enter your Breakdown Express username and password then click on “Get Roles.”



As a paid subscriber to Breakdown Services, there is never a fee for downloading sides or supplemental audition information.


2) Once you have logged in, you will be taken to a page with a list of all the roles for that project. Click once more on the role that you wish to download and your sides will be downloaded to your device.




Watermarks


1) If a box pops up that reads “Please enter the Performer’s Name” after you click on the role, the Casting Office requires individual watermarking for these sides. 




2) Type the name of your client in the box. Once you have entered the Actor’s name, click the “OK” button to download the sides.



This will create a unique watermark on the downloaded file. You must download a separate file for each of your clients reading for the role. 


Please enter your client’s name as a watermark and not the Agency name, your own name, or anything else. Casting Directors frequently check to make sure that the correct Actor’s name is attached to each version.
